Totò restaurant

It is located in the heart of the historic center of Florence between the old bridge and Piazza della Signoria in the loggia of the Palazzo Buondelmonti in the 1300s. Here the wool market was held until it was burned by the people during the Ciompi Revolt in the year 1378. Around in 1900 it was donated to the Opera Pia Cucine Popolari (still today owners of the walls) and destined for the poor. Damaged by the tragic flood of 1966 it was restored and entrusted in 1968 to our parents Totò and Paola who opened this restaurant now run by us Eleonora and Piero …

We are waiting for you to taste our specialties and in particular the fantastic Florentine steak. All meats are of the highest quality and cooked on wood embers, not on coal or lava stone which alter their taste. The cuisine is typical simple and genuine Tuscan. Handmade fresh pasta. You will find Ribollita and tomato pappa as it should be. Large collection of wines and grappas.
